About us
Educating towards freedom
We are La Tribu, a community secondary school in Zapotal, near Mazunte. We learn through projects, collective work and our relationship with the environment. Here, education is built together by students, families and educators.

Bamboo carpentry
Building with local materials: applied geometry, patience and the creation of useful objects for the community.
The kitchen
Students prepare their own food. Nutrition, collaboration and the hearth as the center of shared learning.

We meet with your family. Joining La Tribu means joining a community, and that is decided both ways.
