Is the school accredited by the SEP?
No: La Tribu is an association of mothers and fathers, not a school incorporated into the SEP (Mexico's Ministry of Public Education). We say this with full transparency.
Our curriculum takes the SEP content into account, and we prepare students to take the INEA exam from age 15, through which they obtain their official secondary school certificate.
Who accompanies the learning?
Our lead teacher is a chemical engineer with a master's degree in teaching and years of experience as a secondary school teacher. She specializes in mathematics and science, and has extensive experience supporting gifted young people.
How much does it cost?
Our goal is to cover the school's costs together. It works like this: tuition corresponds to the school's fixed costs divided among the families. Materials are shared too. Food rotates — and students prepare their own meals as part of the learning.

What is the role of the founding families?
The founding families are the organic heart of the school. We carry the responsibility of shaping the initial pedagogical and logistical vision. We take an active part in working committees, decision-making assemblies and the building of the educational space. Their voice carries real weight from the first year.
Is it a new school?
Yes — La Tribu opens its doors in the 2026–2027 school year, and we say so with pride. We are a project born from families. The first families are founders: they take a direct part in shaping the school, with small groups and a community that recognizes itself from the start.
How do I enroll my child?

Which grades open in 2026–2027?
First and second grade of secondary school. The first year is a leveling year: both grades cover the same topics, with individual challenges at each student's level.
What pedagogy do you use?
An active, experiential pedagogy, an alternative to traditional schooling. The teacher sets the frame and the students choose within it. Learning happens by doing, feeling and thinking: real projects, the garden, workshops, community service chosen by the students themselves — always respecting the common academic core.
